Dillon was a truck driver. one time he was stopped in Groom, Texas for spe eding. The policeman was a Barney Fife type. The cop walked up to Dillo n, and looked up at him. Dillon was a tall man. The cop said. Do you kn ow how fast you were going? Dillon said about 3 miles per hour over the sp eed limit, but I was in the process of slowing down, and the cop hadn't gi ven him enough time before stopping him. Dillon asked the cop. Have you ev er seen a grown man cry? The cop said no, and asked why. Dillon said th at if he got a ticket he didn't have the money to pay it, and therefore t he cop would see a grown man cry. Dillon said that in the future he wou ld start slowing down before he got to town, if the cop wouldn't give h im a ticket. The cop put his ticket book away, and let Dillon go.

Dillon was down by Kiowa Oklahoma. The road had a yellow line for no passi ng. In a truck you sat up high enough you could see that no traffic was co ming. Carol Breeden was following him. They both drove for Thomas Industri es out of Fort Smith, Arkansas. They made trips to Dallas Texas. This w as one of those times. Dillon passed a vehicle where there was a yellow li ne. Carol noticed a cop behind him so he didn't pass. The cop came arou nd him and stopped Dillon. Carol stopped also, and went up to where they w ere. The cop told Carol to go on. Carol told him that they were traveli ng together, and he had to stay with him. The cop asked Dillon if he kn ew he had passed on a yellow line. Dillon told the cop that he never did l et a little yellow line get in his way of passing. Dillon got a ticket th is time.
